Changing Lives

India has nearly 3,000 crafts. Many survive with only one or two artisan families. Without structured market linkages and design support, extinction is not a distant possibility - it is an immediate risk.

EA focuses on reviving endangered and vulnerable crafts through:

EkiBeki with artisans

Long-term artisan engagement

(1–2 years per cluster)

Exhibitions, workshops and curated platforms

Design development & skill upgradation

Royalty-based and fair income models

Direct market linkages- digital and physical

Corporate and institutional partnerships

Our copper enamel cluster began in 2018 with a single family. Today, a second generation is leading its expansion.

Our Golden Grass initiative in Odisha is enabling eco-conscious craft to enter mainstream markets.

Through curated exhibitions and Kalaangan-style platforms in leading cultural institutions, artisans directly interact with audiences, generate reorders, and build long-term networks.

Beyond income, we focus on:

  • Reverse migration

  • Family stability

  • Dignity of labour

  • Cultural continuity

We believe craft revival is not charity. It is ecosystem rebuilding.

Our Approach

Every EkiBeki initiative sits at the intersection of three pillars:

  • ensuring contemporary relevance

  • creating sustainable livelihoods and dignity

  • preserving and strengthening traditional knowledge

We do not separate aesthetics from impact.
For us, they are inseparable.
